Autumn in New York is an elegant midi length dress inspired by the straight loose fit of the 1920’s. Godets are inserted into the side seams providing a subtle fullness and movement whilst the additional detail of ruffles placed along the godet and at the shoulders adds a touch of modern boho flair.

Wear with flats such as flip flops or sandals for a unique day look, or add a belt and a pair of heels for a slightly dressier feel. For when the autumn days turn cooler we love to wear over a roll neck jumper, thick tights and ankle boots.

Sewing level

Autumn in New York is suitable for intermediate sewers as although the dress is a straightforward sew the insertion of the godet ruffles is a little tricky.

For all sizes you will need:

3 metres of 60" (150cm) wide fabric

or

3.5 metres of 45” (115 cm) wide fabric

Fabric recommendations

Autumn in New York will work with any light to medium weight woven fabric with lots of drape such as crepe de chine, georgette, a soft linen or rayon.

No additional supplies are needed for this pattern.

Pattern format

As soon as you have completed the checkout process and payment has been confirmed you will receive an email containing a link for you to download. The link will contain:

  • your pattern which can be printed at home on A4 or US letter paper
  • easy to follow step-by-step instructions
  • an A0 size copy shop file of the pattern which you can have printed at your local printers.

The pattern can be downloaded a maximum of three times.
