Return. Reuse. Reward.
As a vegan run company, compassion and sustainability are at the forefront of our minds when it comes to making decisions about our business and this can be demonstrated most clearly in the materials we use to package our paper patterns (you can learn more about each individual element that make up our paper patterns here).
Packaging is essential but often has one purpose only, so our idea was to package our sewing patterns in cotton drawstring bags featuring our beautiful brand city skyline so once the pattern has been made the packaging can then be reused, for example as a toiletries or make-up bag when travelling or as a gift bag. However whilst we have chosen materials which are as sustainable as possible (our cotton bags are Oeko-Tex certified), even eco-friendly options have an environmental cost, especially if they are not repurposed as originally intended. This is why we have launched our Return, Reuse, Reward scheme.
The Scheme
If you have made up your pattern and you no longer need your cotton drawstring bag, you can return it to us and we will reuse the bag for future patterns. This will help to reduce waste, conserve resources and lower our overall footprint and as a thank you we will reward you with a 10% discount off of your next paper pattern.
How can I participate?
As we do not currently have a bricks and mortar shop, the scheme is only available at the UK's two major sewing shows in London where we exhibit every year; Knit & Stitch at Alexandra Palace and The Stitch Festival at the Business Design Centre in Islington. Simply visit our stand where you can return your Seasons of East cotton drawstring bag and a member of our team will issue you with a discount code to use when placing your next order.
Please note in order to allow us to reuse the cotton bags they must be in excellent condition, unmarked and free from any damage.
If you have any queries about this scheme at all, please contact us here or if you are visiting the London shows, you can speak to a member of our team to find out more.
Thank you for helping us achieve our aim to be part of a more circular, kinder system which is better for animals, the planet and all our futures.
